IPod
IPOD cake for Sherod's 30th Birthday! His love, Denise, requested this personalized with his earphones (white cord with red buds) and playing one of his favs: Common: Announcement. Chocolate with raspberry buttercream, covered in fondant. Earphones are a gumpaste/fondant mix. Other details in fondant and royal icing. Denise loved it...I can't wait to hear of Sherod's reaction. Maybe we'll have a pic or two to see?

In Miss Redgal We Trust
For Tamika's 25th birthday, she planned a party in which the 25-cent piece was the theme. To stay consistent with that, I made a cake of stacked coins with once facing outward and resembling her invite. Spread around the board we smaller gumpaste "coins" with her picture and "25" on them.Monday, April 13, 2009
My dear old Auntie Ann...
She has flower gardens in the front and back of her home. I hate gardening. She has weeds that need to be pulled...bushes that need to be trimmed....mulch that needs to be spread....leaves that need to be raked....trees that- OK, OK! You get the picture.
Anyway, for her birthday, I made her a cake that was to resemble a bag of potting soil with a glove and a spade. Attached to the bag was a bow and a note that read:

Gimme some sugar...
I call her "Sugar"...
I saw this design at a local bridal show and loved it! It's so simple and elegant. The original designer used multi-colored rose petals which added so much to the cake (maybe next time).
It was created by stacking 8", 10", and 12" round tiers and applying a dragging pearl border. The rose petals are real, coated in sugar and left to dry to a crisp finish.
This one reminded me of my own wedding cake which was a simple 3-tier square, stacked cake simply iced with a border (like this one). When the cake arrived, we placed fresh daisies around it. I absolutely loved it.
Blue Juicy...
I LOVE making purse cakes. They are so much fun to do. So, when Linda said she wanted one I jumped at the chance!
This one is a blue and black Juicy Couture bag. The cake inside is white cake with vanilla buttercream, covered in fondant. I was petrified to try to come close to the logo, but I don't think I did too bad considering it was freehand and I ABSOLUTELY SUCK AT DRAWING! ;0
An old friend was told about my cakes and said something about not believing that I was really doing them and that she'd have to see the process unfold. So, for you Teri, I took a few pics:

Torted and stacked it...
Iced it...
Forgot that I was taking pictures and....VOILA!
The End. :)

Hannah for Nevaeh
This is definitely one of my favorites. It was fun to make and I love the finished product. This was for Nevaeh's 6th birthday.
Inside is Chocolate and all details are fondant.
Shana wanted a "simple" cake to celebrate her mom's birthday. I once made Shana a birthday cake with chocolate cake, cherries and fluffy buttrcream. She wanted the same again. This time, I added chocolate panels on the side of the cake to garnish.
Fifty and Fabulous
Kristian wanted to celebrate her mom's birthday with a cake that featured a few of her favorite things: bowling, hot dogs, and popcorn.
Inside, the cake is marbled yellow and chocolate. The cake is iced in vanilla buttercream and the details were done in fondant.
The cake reads "Happy 50th Birthday to the Mom of the Century"

Happy Birthday Chef Dwwon
14 year old Dwwon loves to cook and is an aspiring chef. Since birthday gifts from mom were chef tools, hat, and coat, we decided to carry that theme into his cake.
Happy Birthday, Dwwon !

Testimonials
My daughter's first birthday party was a huge celebration. It was important that we had a cake that was fun and represented our family. Well Toni, took the concept of Ava being our "Lil Cupcake" and ran with it. She created the most adorable cupcake cake, and even made a "Smash cupcake" for Ava to demolish. The cake was so artistic, that some of the guests thought it was decoration! Not only did Toni, do a fantastic job with the concept and taking our thoughts into consideration, but the cake TASTED amazing! And isn't that the best part?
